About Me

My photo
A down to earth kind of guy trying to appreciate all the life has to offer and help others who need some advice to make the most of their lives in a hurly-burly modern urban society. I have been in people business for past 30 strong years with my academic training from Shanghai Normal University, University of Regina, and University of British Colombia. In my spare time, I enjoy practicing Tai Chi and gardening to recharge myself.

55 Life Lessons - Part II

6. Your health is your most important asset.

Without your health, you life will certainly be a struggle. To maintain a optimum health physically, mentally and emotionally, you need to keep moving, exercise, eat well, and have a positive outlook of life.

7. You are responsible for yourself and no one else can make you happy.

Life is too short to waste it living out the expectations of others. Most of our daily disappointment, stress, and anxiety stem from your seeking of external validation of you. It is your journey of life, you needs to carve out your own path and enjoy this ephemeral life.

8. Your children are not you so let them to be themselves.

You  bring your children into the world as parent and as their guardian. You will have few precious years to learn from them to be a better person, to love them, to care for them, to support them, and to influence them positively(of course, pay for their needs and wants); however, you cannot mold them to fulfil your exact expectation. Just like God created humans and we have acted with our own stubbornness.

9. People treat you as you taught them to.

When you stand firm on your ground and fight for the things you feel passionately about, other will respect you.

10. If something is worth doing, it’s worth doing with care and attention.

Don't rush through life principle apply to all aspects of work and life as well. Slow down and concentrate on task at hand. Treating each and everything as creating work of art and enjoy the process of each moment as meditation.
